Lenny Tilman, MS Psych

Mr. Tilman earned his master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Ukraine, in the former Soviet Union, where he worked for 10 years as a clinical psychologist, specializing in creating special work processes for cognitively impaired patients.


In 1991, Mr. Tilman founded, in New York, a successful consulting and management firm specializing in providing services for medical professionals, and managing clinical research and development for multi-national pharmaceutical firms.  He joined Lenco Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. in 2003.


Mr. Tilman is currently the Chairman of the American Brotherhood for the Russian Disabled (ABRUD), within which he works to provide disabled people with social rehabilitation, education and training to help them live independent, productive and healthy lives. His philanthropic and charitable endeavours earned Mr. Tilman the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for distinguishing himself as an outstanding American citizen, and an award from the National Federation of the Italian-American Society for his successful business ventures and charitable contributions.

 

 

Elena Agranovsky, MD, PhD

Since 2004, Dr. Agranovsky serves as the clinical leader of Lenco Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. She ensures the implementation of best practices and procedures, and the delivery of consistently high-quality services that are tailored to the needs of our physician clients and their patients.


Dr. Agranovsky is board certified from the American Board of Pathology in anatomic and clinical pathology. She obtained her medical degree from the Sanitary Hygiene Medical Institute, in San Petersburg, Russia, where she also gained her PhD in immunology, from the Vaccine and Serum Research Institute.


Dr. Agranovsky completed fellowships in hematopatology, at Beth Israel Medical Center, and in blood bank and immunohematology, at the New York Blood Center. She has more than 20 years of research experience in hematology and immunology. Prior to joining our company, Dr. Agranovsky worked at Bayside Laboratory and the Office of Medical Examiner, County of Rockland, New York. Formerly, she was chief of the hematology laboratory at Elmhurst General Medical Center and chief of clinical chemistry at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York.

 

 

Thomas E. Asher

Mr. Asher supervises all sale and business development activities at Lenco Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. His high level of expertise and great commitment mean we can guarantee that all physicians who choose our laboratory for their patients’ needs always receive the highest quality level of service.


Mr. Asher is responsible for the implementation of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems with our clients. He superintends the Client Service and Logistics departments, and ensures that all regulatory requirements are met. 
With more than 20 years of experience in the clinical diagnostic laboratory industry, Mr. Asher is one of the most respected senior executive figures in the field. Before joining our company, he worked for National Health Laboratories, Enzo Clinical Laboratory and Quest Diagnostics. His unrivalled leadership and innovative thinking skills have helped transform our laboratory into a state-of-the-art facility, and one of the top regional clinical laboratories in the New York metropolitan area.

 

 

 

Salvatore Cumella, MD

Dr. Cumella received his BA in Biology from George University, and his medical degree from the University Of Monterrey Medical School, where he specialized in public health, preventive medicine and medical education. He is an advocate for ill children in underdeveloped countries, women’s rights and the disabled, and the recipient of several awards and recognitions for personal and civic achievements, including the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, which he received for his extraordinary contributions to American society and his own ethnic group.


A member of the NYPD Honor Legion and the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation, Dr. Cumella is, presently, a member of numerous societies, such as The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, the Senior Umbrella Network of Brooklyn and the New York Women’s Agenda.


Dr. Cumella, who speaks three languages – English, Italian and Spanish –, joined our company in 2004. He is also the president and CEO of Cumella Professional Services, a consulting and public relations firm in Brooklyn, New York.
